It’s been the best part of a decade since someone made the very, very, very big mistake of killing his beloved dog, but John Wick‘s work is not yet done. The fourth film in the acclaimed Keanu Reeves-led franchise was originally supposed to debut this year but COVID-delays mean that it won’t be in multiplexes until the end of March 2023.
However, SDCC-22 gave fans a chance to see the first trailer for the film and a teaser poster which also displayed Wick’s nickname Baba Yaga.
John Wick 4 – the only title we know of so far – will bring back Reeves’ former Matrix co-star Laurence Fishburne along with Winston (Ian McShane) and Charon (Lance Reddick). We’ll also get to see various other screen legends in the mix including Clancy Brown, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgård, Rina Sawayama, Hiroyuki Sanada and Scott Adkins.
We also know from previously-released news that rising star Ana de Armas (currently on-screen in The Gray Man and soon essaying Marilyn Monroe in an upcoming bio-pic) will star in a spin-off provisionally called Ballerina and directed by Promising Young Woman‘s Emerald Fennell.
