The cast for the upcoming and ambitious thriller Gunpowder Milkshake, which starts shooting in Berlin in June, is looking very promising indeed.
Fresh from the announcement of her participation in the Avatar sequels, Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger – Hidden Dragon, Tomorrow Never Dies, Star Trek: Discovery and primary star of its upcoming Section 31 spin-off) is the latest to join a multi-generational, mythological tale of a group of female assassins. Her co-stars are equally impressive and include Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Who‘s Karen Gillan, Game of Thrones‘ Lena Headey, Black Panther‘s Angela Bassett and Billions star Paul Giamatti.
Details of the story are being kept under-wrap at the moment, though it is believed that Headey and Gillan play a mother/daughter assassin team at the heart of the tale. The project will see Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado (Big Bad Wolves) share directorial duties from a script by them and co-writer Ehud Lavski.
