After a lot of speculation and downtime since its last 2014 outing, it looks as if plans are proceeding at a pace for a fourth Expendables film, with stalwarts such as Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture returning to the fold.
Scott Waugh is on directing duties with a script credited to Spenser Cohen, Max Adams and John Joseph Connolly. As announced this week, there’ll be at least a couple of newcomers to the mercenary group in the form of Megan Fox (Transformers, Jennifer’s Body), Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson and The Raid‘s Tony Jaa. In 2018 Terry Crews said he would not be returning to the franchise after he alleged that his participation was contingent on him dropping his case against agent Adam Venit regarding a serious sexual assault.
Lensing is due to start in October, likely for a late 2022 release…
