666 Appeal? Netflix’s revelations confirm ‘Lucifer’ date…

We've had a devil of a time waiting for it, but we now have confirmation of when Lucifer will be returning to screens...

Lucifer, the darkly-humoured FOX show, in which British actor Tom Ellis plays Lucifer Morningstar, the egotistical fallen angel spending time in Los Angeles – and dividing his time between solving crimes with Police Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) and trying to redeem his credibility and find his place in the universe – was cancelled after three series but the show left the audience on a massive cliffhanger and last year the passionate fanbase convinced Netflix to confirm it had decided to pick up the series for a fourth run.

Then things went a little quiet as the season – which will run to ten episodes – went into actual production and fans waited to know when Lucifer would actually rise again.  Last week, a tease appeared, setting the tone if not revealing too much – or a lot, depending on your point of view.

And now we have the date confirmed in a new trailer – and it is… 8th May. Netlflix have geared up their publicity over the next few weeks including a new teaser video  (which again, doesn’t reveal anything specific to the season’s storyline but declares ‘He is Risen’ and shows Ellis…. well, rising).

The season’s episode will all be available to binge-watch immediately from that date…
