‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’ trailer has ‘net buzzing…

Size matters - objects in the front view big screen may be larger than they appear...

While much has been made of the Avengers movie coming later this year, we’ll also have a sequel to one of Marvel‘s other movies. Ant-Man and the Wasp sees Evangeline Lilly ‘s Hope Van Dyne getting promoted to co-title status alongside Paul Rudd for the follow-up to the singular Ant-Man entry.

Taking place after the Winter Soldier entry, which left Rudd’s Scott Lang / Ant-Man somewhat at odds with authorities, it seems that Scott is still having trials and tribulations as he copes with his duties as a superhero and a single father.

The latest film also sees the return of Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, who invented the Ant-Man costume and tech and Scott’s friend Luis (Michael Pena) some ‘new’ faces: Walt Goggins essaying the main villain Sonny Burch, Laurence Fishburne playing Bill Foster / Goliath and Michelle Pfieffer appearing as Janet Van Dyne  – the original ‘Wasp’ who we found out was lost in the microverse before the events of the first film.

The teaser, released this week, shows the tone of the sequel, a fun romp that makes the absolute most of the size-changing powers – and the best battle-use of a Hello Kitty PEZ dispenser yet seen on screen.

‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ is released on 6th July  (Avengers: Infinity War arrives on 4th May).
