Continuing a Marvel-ous week, we know that, following the release of this new poster (above and left) there is also a second trailer for March’s Captain Marvel release.
Oscar-winner Brie Larson takes the title role of Carol Danvers and her cosmic-powered soldier for the first solo outing for a female Marvel hero (Technically Evangeline Lilly had to share the ‘Wasp‘ title with Paul Rudd’s ‘Ant-Man‘earlier this year and a long-gestating Black Widow movie featuring Scarlet Johansson is also in the works but will likely not hit until 2020).
Set in the 1980s, the story features a supporting cast including a non-eyepatched Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg (both playing younger versions of their established Nick Fury and Phil Coulson roles respectively), Rogue One‘s Ben Mendelsohn, Annette Bening, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Rune Temte, Algenis Perez Soto, Mckenna Grace and Jude Law.
The trailer gives us our first real look at the shape-shifting skrulls and a tone that indicates the finished film will have a sense of FUN as well as adventure.
