EyeLander: Adrian Paul joins second season of Apple TV’s ‘SEE’…

Another familiar genre name joins the second season of Apple tv show 'SEE'...

The first season of  SEE had a divisive reaction when it became one of the first shows to launch on the new Apple tv+ platform. Starring Jason Momoa (Stargate: Atlantis, Aquaman) as the blind warrior Baba Voss and Alfre Woodard stars as Paris, the tribe’s spiritual leader, it caught immediate headlines. On one hand the action sequences, high production values and earnest performances were praised, but the whole concept of the show was met with a raised brow. The series deals with a future Earth, several generations after a virus robbed almost all humans of their eyesight. Slowly humanity formed enclaves and different tribes, each finding their own way to deal with their disability and form new ways of navigating their environment and the wider world. But the mysterious birth of two babies who can see causes chaos as several tribes with very differing agendas seek the powerbase such a discovery will bring them – and the children themselves, as they grow to young adulthood, try to remain hidden from the wrath of others…

However the mixed reviews on the viability of its premise haven’t prevented the show from being renewed and the casting news for that sophomore run continues. After the recent announcement of Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) joining the series in an unnamed role, now comes confirmation that Highlander star Adrian Paul will also be coming on board to play Lord Harlan, the ‘ruler of the strongest city in the kingdom’.

Adrian’s most recent tv role was as a recurring villain, Dante, on The CW‘s Arrow. Other returning members of the cast will include Hera Hilmar, Sylvia Hoeks, Archie Madekwe and Nesta Cooper. Production is currently underway in Canada.
